This Porsche 356 Pre-A Speedster, chassis number 80453, left hand drive, is a true beauty and has just been completely restored by Classic Car Service. The production date of this car is 30/03/1955 and it was delivered new to Hoffmann in New York, a famous Porsche dealer back in those days. There is no complete history of ownership of this car but the last owner in the US was Robert Arthur Gosnell from Phoenix Arizona. In 2007 he sold the 356 Pre-A Speedster and it was imported to Ireland, where it stood in a barn for over 12 years.

When Classic Car Service bought the car, it wasn’t driven or used for a long time. They restored the car completely, from bodywork, mechanics, electric wiring and interior to paintwork. Everything, even the slightest details have been taken care of to the highest standards. The car is now back to its original state, exactly the same as it came from the factory in 1955, according to the certificate of authenticity.
The exterior is in Signal Red, Porsche colour, code 601. These Pre-A Speedster models were originally only produced in three different colours: red, blue and white. The interior material consists of the very rare Acella Bast or Basket Weave, in Cream colour.

The restoration of this Porsche 356 Pre-A Speedster has been finished in January 2019 and the restoration is fully documented with photographs. The car is now 100% concourse, better than it was new from the factory in 1955 and it comes with a warranty.
